Happy New Year!

Our first 2012 meeting is scheduled for Jan. 9th

Please reserve Monday, January 9th on your calendars for our first MOSB meeting of 2012.  This meeting is our annual “thank you” to all the men as we celebrate our successes of 2011 and it’s lining up to be a doozy – a wonderful "surf and turf" dinner planned by our MOSB “chefs” that is FREE for all, along with guest speaker Bob Fitzgerald, who will share his powerful story.

An added plus this year will be a big screen so that we can watch the BCS championship game as part of our meeting! So this is a meeting you will NOT want to miss, so please plan to attend!

Thanks to you all for your continued support of the Men of Saint Brigid.  I wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

God Bless –

Todd Borah, President, Board of Directors, MOSB

Christmas Trees on sale!

As you’ve probably noticed, our Christmas Tree Lot is up and running!  Thanks to the many guys who helped to build the lot and unload the initial tree delivery, and also to those who have worked at the lot already.  Business will be ramping up the next couple of weeks, including this weekend, which is traditionally our busiest of the tree season.  If you can lend a hand, please contact Jay Williams at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Men’s Shelter

We had a great turnout for our first Men’s Shelter date.  Thanks to Mark Halaszynski for cooking up an unbelievable traditional “southern” meal and the rest of the volunteers who helped to serve.  This is a great way to help those less fortunate and it is truly a humbling experience.  If you’re interested in helping out, we still have room for volunteers for our St. Brigid dates in Dec. and Jan., so please contact Jerry Baiamonte at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The Gift of Forgiveness

If we acknowledge our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from every wrongdoing.  (1 John 1:9)

The Advent season is a great time to take advantage of one of the true gifts of our Catholic faith – the sacrament of Reconciliation.  For some of us it’s been months (and in some cases years) since we’ve received the grace that comes with fully confessing our sins to a priest.  Reconciliation times are Saturdays immediately following the 9:00AM Mass and on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00PM.

About the Men of St.Brigid

The mission of the Men of Saint Brigid (MOSB) was founded on bringing glory to God and the advancement of His church through spiritual and social enrichment, as well as through service to those in and outside the St. Brigid community.  Formed in 1999 as one of the first few ministries at Saint Brigid, this mission continues today.
