Men's Shelter - Downtown Atlanta

Each year, the Men of St. Brigid volunteer at one of two Men's Shelters in downtown Atlanta.  This is a great way to help those less fortunate, especially during the Advent season.  The five dates we've been assigned are:

November 21

December 7

January 4

February 18

March 14

Directions to the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

400 south to I-85 South - exit MLK Blvd

Go West on MLK towards Underground Atlanta

Take a left on Pryor, a left on Mitchell, a left on Central

Take Central to the last drive on your right and park in the lot

Directions to Central Presbyterian

400 south to I-85 South - exit MLK Blvd

Go West on MLK towards Underground Atlanta

Central Pres is located at the corner of Washington and MLK Blvd.  As you pass Washington the alley comes up very quickly on the left.

If you get to Central Ave you have gone too far and will need to circle the block MAKING LEFTS to get back to where you need to be.  Do not go right because it gets tricky that way.

The alley to Central Pres is where most of you can park.  Directly across the street from the alley is a parking lot ($5 to park).  You may try to ask for FREE parking since you are volunteering across the street.
